Flashing Basic Kit

— backuping –
1. Backup whatever in device memory (not storage card)
2. PIM Backup contacts, sms, tasks…

– formating and flashing –
3. Download the last Blue_Elves ROM, or use any shadow ROM
4. Use the start.bat (easy installer/flasher)

– Restoring and configuring –
5. Restore PIM contacts, sms, tasks…
6. Restore whatever backuped
7. Configure:
Today –> Today Screen (Classic Black, only HOME and calendar items)
Programs/Regional Settings –> Localization catalan, Time 24h
8. Configure network: spanish settings (GPRS…)
9. Restore Wallpapers, etc.
10. Install useful programs: S2U2, Pocket Starmap, others…

Thats it!

TRICKS:

Disable conversation sms:

create the following registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\OEM\

Under the registry key, create a new DWORD value with value name as SMSInboxThreadingDisabled and set it value data to 1.

Change alarm tones: upload wma or wav tones in Windows folder.

Tom Tom installation:

Install TomTom.cab
Copy your favorite voices in /StorageCard/Voices/ folder
Copy maps folders in /StorageCard root folder
To activate the copied maps you have to generate MAP_NAME.meta.dct
To do this you need your DeviceID, an updated meta.txt file, tt_keygen and the MAP_NAME.meta file.
DeviceID is located in /StorageCard/ttnavigator.bif (DeviceUniqueID=AAAAAAAAAA)
The rest of files should be in your maps and the cracking tool (k7i8.rar).
Once you have the correct MAP_NAME.meta.dct copy it into the maps folder.

Personalization:

Home clock: modify HH_HOME_X.pngs (\Windows) and restart to update.
